The Faculty of the Language Development Department (LDD) of CDC design and conduct language teaching programs specially tailored to prepare learners for successfully communicating in foreign languages in order to enhance their careers and to pursue continuing education and research in different fields.
In 1997 CDC Academy founded EgypTesol (the Egyptian Association for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages), the first NGO for Teachers of English in Egypt. EgypTesol is an affiliate of TESOL International, the US-based Association for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Since its establishment, EgypTesol organizes an annual International Convention in which 600 MOE teachers are invited to participate.
